Nine plays business tricky, while The Voice US outshouts a big bang

The Nine Network has dropped The Big Bang Theoryfrom its 7:00pm weeknight timeslot effective next Monday, replacing it with the US version of The Voice.
Nine aired the first season on its digital multichannel GO! last year, but after dismal ratings since its reality hit The Block finished on Sunday, it has decided to usher the talent franchise to its main channel.
Nine had planned to run Big Bang Theory repeats at 7:00pm weeknights until the Olympics begin later this month, after which its reboot of Big Brother will debut.
The move is not surprising considering the success Nine has had this year with The Voice Australia. The final episode received an impressive audience of 3.098 million for the winner announcement.
Meanwhile, Nine has also shifted Tricky Business to the graveyard - it will now complete its 13-episode run on Wednesdays at 10:00pm. The local drama series pulled just 558,000 viewers on Monday, placing fourth in its earlier 8:00pm timeslot.
